Every product on Gaia's Loom is chosen because of its materials first. Affiliate commissions never influence what I recommend.
Materials I promote
I focus on natural, responsibly processed, and certified materials. These include cotton, organic cotton, linen, hemp, Tencel™, ECOVERO™ viscose, non-PVC vegan leather, recycled natural fibres, and pure recycled polyester.
Materials I avoid
I do not promote clothing made primarily from virgin synthetic materials including standard polyester, nylon, acrylic, or unverified viscose without certification.
How I vet products
Before promoting any product I check the material composition listed by the retailer, look for relevant certifications, and consider the brand's wider material and production practice.
My view on high street brands
I believe better choices already exist on the high street. My goal is to make those choices easier to find — not to ask anyone to overhaul their wardrobe overnight. I promote the best of what is already accessible.
On that same note, the best way to take care of Gaia is to buy less, or buy second hand, but if you do buy, buy better.
